Okundaye is a versatile player in the secondary, as he is interchangeable among corner, nickel, and safety. He can track the ball out of the air and make contested catches vs receivers, which led to multiple interceptions in 2025. He is also a reliable tackler in space and on the perimeter, making a multitude of tackles when he was the last defender left on the edge. He especially fits the run well from both the safety and nickel position, with a quick trigger, and he takes great pursuit angles.
