Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
Elliot is a fast-rising inside receiver who checks quite a few boxes already. He’s coming off of a massive year where he immediately became the focal point of the passing offense. He’s quick and shifty. He’s consistently able to create space and find open throwing lanes. He’s then good with the ball in his hands. He’s able to make guys miss, can hurdle defenders, find lanes, and take it to the house. He’s not afraid to go over the middle and will lay it all on the line for his guys. With 89 receptions and 876 receiving yards, which both led the 2028 receiving class, you can see why he’s starting to garner interest.

Elliot stood out on Sunday because of his athleticism and ability to make plays down the field. He’s quick, has good feet, and doesn’t have much wasted movement at the line. He’ll get by the DB downfield with ease and can track the ball easily over his shoulder. He’ll eat up the cushion any DB gives him and put them in a bind early. He’s not the biggest receiver, but he plays bigger than his frame.

Elliot is a big play waiting to happen. He’s got that home run gear where if you give him a crease, he’s gone. He returned kicks last year and made the most of it, including one he housed for 6. His vision and change of direction make him dangerous in space, and he’s got the speed to finish. Whether it’s on special teams or in the open field on offense, you just want the ball in his hands and a little room to work. He’ll take care of the rest.

Elliot started on both sides of the ball this year and put together a full season on defense, finishing with 32 tackles. He moves effortlessly and has the kind of smooth athleticism that makes everything look natural. While he held his own defensively, his skill set suggests he could be even more dangerous as a receiver in the long run because he’s quicky, twitchy, and seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
