Sherrod Gourdine
About Sherrod
Expert Analysis
Marcus Benjamin | Prep Redzone Scout
The playmaking two-way athlete made his presence felt on both sides of the football. On defense, he was a hard-hitting presence, and on offense, he was a playmaker with the football.
Gourdine scored the Mustangs’ second touchdown of the game and was a threat in the return game as well, returning a kick for about 50 yards. He uses his strength to eliminate pass-catchers from plays and break tackles from defenders.
The Miami commit is a high-caliber football player who will be a force on the next level.

Gourdine is an instinctual player who is destined to make big-time plays on the next level. He displays strong balance when defending and with the football in his hands on kick returns.
He projects as a nickel corner who can also play the boundary if needed. Gourdine is excellent in press coverage, and he is the type of feisty corner that coaches want on their team.
