He continued to show his versatility on both sides leading the team in receiving yards (833), TDs (12), and INTs (3). He’s a dynamic player on offense that shows his speed and physicality with the ball in his hands and covers ground from his S spot. Was a standout performer at WR at the PRZ CA Showcase back in April. Garcia’s also generated interest from Idaho St., Southern Utah, and Weber St.

Garcia caught six passes for 150 yards with two touchdowns in Brawley’s win over Central.
In Jordan Reyes’ evaluatation of Garcia, he said, “At receiver, he’s a plus route runner that can beat you with speed or technical ability. Does a good job setting up his routes and using a series of stems/nods to create separation. He’s patient and mixes up his speeds well to be deceptive at the top of his route. Like his start/stop speed to accelerate out of his breaks.”

At 6’0” 175 lbs. Garcia is versatile athlete that is recruitable on both sides of the ball at WR and Safety. He’s an aggressive competitor that is constantly attacking no matter where he lines up. At receiver, he’s a plus route runner that can beat you with speed or technical ability. Does a good job setting up his routes and using a series of stems/nods to create separation. He’s patient and mixes up his speeds well to be deceptive at the top of his route. Like his start/stop speed to accelerate out of his breaks. Quick off the line with good creativity in his releases to avoid contact. Possesses the long speed to stretch the field vertically and can track the ball into his hands. Transferred to Brawley Union for his junior season and has performed well at offseason camps/showcases. Was a top performer at the PRZ showcase and National Preps showcase.

Garcia continued to show his playmaking talent on both sides of the ball (WR/DB) as a junior for La Costa Canyon last season. He’s a physical S on defense that actively seeks out the ball and shows great range and coverage skills in the back half. He’s a skilled receiver on offense with aggressive hands and obvious athleticism after the catch. Garcia should be a standout in 1v1s whether he’s playing offense or defense.

Garcia rose the WR rankings after a productive first season with La Costa Canyon (Central Union transfer). He’s a pure all-around football player with appealing playmaking ability on offense and physical edge on defense (S). His natural athleticism shows at WR where he’s a quick, twitchy route-runner and an extremely tough runner with the ball in his hands. His true upside at the next level might be best maximized on defense with the violent, aggressive style of play he deploys, combined with the natural instincts, athleticism, and ability to space he offers in the secondary. Garcia’s stock should continue to rise as one of the most versatile talents in North County.
