About Santiago

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an explosive, high-IQ two-way player who uses elite track speed to stretch the field vertically at wide receiver and erase deep threats at free safety. I excel at tracking the ball in the air, opening my hips fluidly to lock down complex routes, and playing with a physical, high-energy edge on every snap.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hyper-competitive, disciplined, and resilient athlete who thrives under pressure. I approach every practice, film session, and game with a 'first-in, last-out' work ethic. Off the field, I am focused, approachable, and fiercely dedicated to mastering my craft and helping my teammates succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football, I have developed elite communication skills, learning how to command the secondary and keep my team aligned under pressure. I pride myself on being a locker-room leader who leads by example, holds peers accountable, and understands that team chemistry wins championships

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Relocating from Bakersfield to the highly competitive Southern California football circuit was a major transition. It required me to completely elevate my work ethic, adapt to a faster pace of play, and prove myself from scratch in front of new coaches and scouts. It ultimately made me a much tougher, more adaptable player.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a top-tier D1 football program with a coaching staff that will push me to my absolute limits and help me grow into an NFL-caliber player. I want to earn my place on a team that values player development, high standards, and a winning culture. My goal is to work hard every single day, make a major impact on the field, and leave a lasting legacy by chasing records at wide receiver,
