Expert Analysis
Cory Lemer | Prep Redzone Scout
Standing at 5’9″ 190-Pounds, the Section Nine back displays a solid build for the RB position. Simpson is part of the elite Wing-T offense at Pine Bush.
Simpson is a physical but elusive back. He can take on LB’s as blockers while also finding the tiniest gaps on the LOS to break free for big gains. When looking at Simpson, you would think Derrick Henry plays High School ball in 2025.
Simpson can play at both FB at HB at the next level and is a valuable weapon for a college program.

Simpson does not have much social media presence, but he was a solid performer for Pine Bush last season and is one of the better young talents in Section 9 overall.
Simpson picked up 50 carries in a Wing-T backfield that featured a couple of upperclassmen, and he played primarily in the FB position. Simpson has solid size but looks much stronger and bigger than his listed 190. Simpson is a solid blocker who hits more hits and strikes than maintains his blocks, but at his position, most of his reps that is all that is needed. He is an interesting athlete with RB potential in an offense that allows for some solid blocking reps if he turns into a full-time FB or H-Back.
