Rob is another highly recruited EDGE prospect from the 336, holding offers from schools such as Arkansas, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Liberty, Charlotte, and Mississippi State, amongst others. Rob’s speed off the edge as a pass rusher, I think, is his best trait, and he ties that together with a couple of nice pass rush moves to get to the quarterback. Rob does a good job of stringing out running plays, running right at him, not allowing backs to get outside of him. I think colleges feel like they can add some good weight to him without losing his athleticism, and he’ll be a true three-down player at the next level.

Lange is simply a really solid player with a high football I.Q. He’s not going to wow you with absurd athleticism, but he hits all the thresholds colleges look for in edge rushers. He has a good first step and knows how to use it to put offensive linemen on their heels. His weight room numbers are good, but more importantly, that translates to play strength that is obvious if you watch his tape.

Lange is probably pretty close to blowing up on the recruiting trail after growing a bit and earning an offer from Charlotte this offseason. He’s long, but has good bend off the edge, allowing him to get to the quarterback quickly. He displays a variety of passrushing moves which allows him to beat talented offensive tackles with some level of consistency.
