He should probably be getting more Division 1 looks, thanks to his smooth movement skills and the way he attacks the ball in the air. Gist is an extremely athletic two-way player who made our Forsyth County wide receivers list earlier this month, but he was actually more productive on defense. The Bishop McGuinness star had seven interceptions last year as a safety and nickel defender. He has great instincts and the explosive ability to make plays on the ball.

Gist did a little bit of everything for Bishop McGuinness last season, and his ranking is purely as a receiver. The rising junior did a lot of his damage after the catch, either on designed screens or on shorter throws over the middle, where his speed and elusiveness are both on full display.
