About Richard
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Powerful, physical interior offensive lineman who plays with toughness, discipline, and a high football IQ. At roughly 6'2" and 290+ pounds, I bring a strong anchor in pass protection and an aggressive downhill mentality in the run game. Plays with heavy hands, strong leverage, and relentless effort, consistently finishing blocks and creating movement at the point of attack.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I carry a quiet confidence. Strong, steady, and dependable — I lead by example rather than seeking attention. I have a calm demeanor and disciplined work ethic that's earned respect from teammates and coaches. On and off the field, I show mental toughness, selflessness, and maturity. Beneath my quiet personality is a fierce competitor, with no quit.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Inducted into Junior National Honor Society. Member of the BETA club. Serve with my local church in community outreach and mission work. Straight-A student with many academic honor rolls and student of the year awards.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Teamwork – Selfless, team-first player who understands the importance of unity, communication, and doing my job for the success of the entire team. I put the team above personal recognition.
Community Service – I value serving others and being involved in my community. Through church, school, and outreach opportunities, I demonstrate character and a desire to positively impact people around me.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the most significant personal challenges in my life was losing my sister to cancer in 2015. Walking through that season of grief deeply impacted me and strengthened my faith, resilience, and compassion for others facing hardship. It taught me the importance of perseverance, family, and trusting God even in life’s most difficult moments.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically, develop me athletically, and strengthen me personally. I value a strong football culture built on discipline, teamwork, and character, while also seeking a supportive community where I can grow as a leader on and off the field. I am especially interested in a program that believes in player development and opportunities for my future.
