McHaney is a mauler. Big, tall, and lean, with a 6-foot-8, 250-pound frame that college coaches covet, he dominated on Friday night’s sectional win over Lapel. He is a relentless pass rusher with a high motor. A two-sport athlete, he also is an offensive lineman, where his ability to block in space at left tackle could be a valuable asset to any college program.

Was a dominant player on Friday night on both sides of the ball. Strong run blocker who can move, pull and latch in space. Needs improvement in pass protection but flaws are fixable with college coaching. On defense he was outstanding. Is very good run defender; uses size and length well to shed blocks, and is also a great pass rusher with a high motor. Great size and frame, looks in good shape. Has no major offers.

Raishaun McHaney has been a dominant presence on the defensive line, making plays all over the field. He excels at shedding blocks and disrupting plays before they can develop. With 53 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles this season, McHaney is a constant problem for offenses, whether he’s stopping the run or pressuring the quarterback. I think he’s come a long way in his development and has been a pleasant addition for Lutheran.

McHaney has come out and put his best season on tape yet. He’s stronger, quicker, and knows what the defense is asking him to do. He’s off blocks and able to fight through contact at the point of contact. This past Friday he took over the game and helped shut down the offense. He finished the night with 10.5 tackles, a strip sack, and recovered 2 fumbles. He was bullying the offensive line all night and got stronger as the game went on. It was an impressive showing from McHaney to say the very least.
