Background: Hawkins like his Central Region members tore up the 7v7 circuit with Syracuse Elite, and also made an impressive appearance at multiple Prep Redzone showcases. Suiting up for Henninger, he is a player to watch in Section Three this season.

Measurables: Hawkins stands at 5’10” 170-Pounds, displaying a solid frame for a WR. He should look to add more weight as he is on the lengthier side as a prospect and should loom to fill out his frame as he grows.

Evaluation: Hawkins is a player I can see playing at WR, and DB as a prospect, and he shows a good IQ and understanding of both positions. As a WR prospect, he is an outside pass catcher, and can make contested catches look easy. He has good physicality at the POA, and can bring in catches with contact. He has excellent hands, and it feels like the ball finds him with ease. His route running is good, and he has solid footwork at the top of his routes. As he moves forward, gaining separation should be one of the focal points of his development.

Another 7v7 Syracuse Elite Prospect who was in attendance was Quazire Hawkins Quazire Hawkins NY . The 2028 WR is one of the top 20 in his position in the 2028 class, and he is easily coming for the top spots.

Hawkins was a solid performer in Warwick, and easily made a good impression at the Showcase. He was a smooth route runner, and through contact stayed balanced. He can easily make catches through contact, and he loves the physical aspect of being a WR. He has good speed, and gets off the line well, but can work on footwork at the top of routes, to make sharper cuts, and gaining separation off the line moving forward.

Few players elevated their stock the way Quazire Hawkins Quazire Hawkins NY did over the course of the Garden State Gridiron, emerging as one of the clear standouts at wide receiver and earning the title as a Top Performer. Every time he stepped on the field, he looked like a go-to playmaker, consistently separating himself from the rest of the competition.

What really set him apart, though, was how he handled physical situations. He wasn’t just winning with speed, he attacked the ball in traffic and came down with it. Across the board, Hawkins proved he wasn’t just productive but was one of the most impactful players at the entire event.

Another explosive prospect lining up out wide, Quazire Hawkins made a name for himself after this weekend’s Garden State Gridiron. My notes from this weekend say “consistently on of the best receivers and overall players at the event“, and I think that still holds true. Extremely explosive off of the line, Quazire can turn on the jets and hit his top end speed quickly to stretch the field. He even excelled in the contested catches, with one example of him yanking it away to come down with the ball. Quazire is another player that thrived on defense too, showing off his receiver skills by high pointing a ball and coming up with the interception.

Hawkins was balling on Day 1 for Syracuse Elite, one of my favorite players to watch this past Saturday. Seemingly uncoverable on offense, Dauksza seemed to target him whenever they needed to move the sticks.

There is no film out yet on Hawkins, but I should be able to get my hands on some soon. Not many freshman are playing in Section III right now, and none have done what Hawkins has. There are a few guys in WR rotations or garbage time contributors, but Hawkins has over 200 yards, 14 receptions, and 2 touchdowns to start the year—a lot of which he got in a big game against PSLA Fowler. Hawkins is another freshman contributor to add to your radar in the 2028 class.
