Broadway recently pledged to East Carolina after a really strong summer. He’s put on some weight while maintaining the agility he’s known for at Metrolina. A nasty lineman, he’s willing to do the dirty work in the running game and we think there’s still plenty of room for him to grow.

The East Carolina commit has steadily risen in our rankings and we like what we see from the growing tackle. I’m interested to see what ECU does with him at the next level as he’s a bit undersized for a tackle, but has the long arms and down-blocking abilities to play out on the right side like he does at Metrolina. He’s a force in the hole as a puller and as he develops as a pass-blocker, the upside is obvious.

Broadway popped up on our radar after an East Carolina offer and he performed well in camp settings this spring. He’s a mauler in the running game and his highlight tape is play after play of him punishing defensive linemen, flattening anybody who gets in his way.

I have written about Preston before and the main thing I love about him is how he just relishes contact and man-handling defenders up front. Preston plays to the echo of the whistle on film, and is a dominant run blocker. I think Preston also has good footwork in pass protection and can play tackle or guard on the next level. He was selected as an All-Conference player for the 2nd year in a row, and is receiving well-deserved recruiting attention as well. A great asset for our Junior Bowl team.

I wrote about Preston in mid-June, and shortly after that he picked up his first Division 1 offer from East Carolina University. It is well deserved as Preston is a physical prospect who really excels in the run game as a straight ahead drive blocker and a player who can really excel on pull blocks and blocking in space. He should rocket up our rankings in our next update after this initial introduction.
