Welty has been on a heater to begin the season, recording 26 receptions for 491 yards and 4 touchdowns. His production has been powered by strong route running, excellent body control and an impressive catch radius.

Welty brings strength to the position, fighting through defenders at the catch point and powering through contact after the reception. His quick feet help him release cleanly off the line, while his shiftiness makes him difficult to contain with the ball in his hands.

His ability to consistently create separation and provide his quarterback with an open target has become one of the strongest parts of his game. Welty has shined through the first half of the season and appears poised to continue his impressive play.
