Evaluation: Massive, heavy-framed offensive lineman with the versatility to play both tackle and guard. At the snap, he explodes out of his stance with a flat back. In pass protection, he brings a wide base while leaving power rushers in the dust with his stout anchor. In the run game, he gets constant movement on base blocks by getting defenders into a phone booth.
I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to the admissions process at Bates College! I’d like to thank my family, friends, teammates and coaches for helping me every step of the way! Special thanks to the coaches at @Bates_Football@Cats_CoachCoyne@CoachWatrous… pic.twitter.com/9hrNEgGvx7
Owen does a good job of getting hands on defenders quickly. He plays a bit high at times; but he can move defenders in the run game, and has active hands in pass protection. He can also contribute on defense, clogging up running lanes and bulldozing into the backfield. He has the size, and will be a player to watch for this summer.
