The linchpin up front on the Smoky Bears offensive line put forth a dominating senior season where he was a key piece in his team’s run after the 5A championship. Van Rensburg was outstanding throughout the entire 2024 campaign where he provided open holes in the run game while also keeping his quarterback clean on a consistent basis. This future MTSU Blue Raider handled left tackle on the line and did an excellent job, showing off his natural athletic abilities and ability to handle the pass rush. Van Rensburg will work inside at MTSU but his versatility to handle multiple positions up front could give him a shot to hit the field early in his college career.

This Smoky Mountain native has some of the best speed to power combo in the state along with the athleticism to handle all three interior O-line positions. Van Rensburg is an explosive blocker that gets out of his stance fast and plows his way into opponents chests to drive them off the ball. The speed to power combo is some of the best you will find on the offensive line in this class. He has excellent lower base agility with both his hips and his quick feet. The Smoky Bears senior mauler is an athletic guy that could play some tackle if called upon but he is a true interior guy that might see his best upside reside at center. College coaches are starting to recognize the talents as Van Rensburg added a D1 offer recently from Western Ky and they won’t be the last.
