Olamide “Ace” Oyewole is a thick defensive lineman who stands at 6′ and weighs a solid 240 lbs. I’ve spoken about his talents before, and I’m still impressed with what he was able to put on tape last season. He’s a bulldozer in the trenches, often showing off a high motor and pursuit that is typically uncommon from a DT. The effort he puts into shutting down screens or chasing ball carriers cross-field is commendable, and oftentimes he’s successful in that endeavor. He punishes offensive linemen with slow feet and proves to be a stout gap controller when guards shoot out to cut block him, still rarely giving ground. When Oyewole gets his hands on a ball carrier, the effects are often devastating, as he swallows them up and throws them around with minimal effort. I really like the upside of the Anoka defensive line heading into next season.
