Melton was one of only five class of 2029 prospects the coaching staff of the Eastside Colts pointed out to me prior to their opening game. While the rest of the prospects were already in high school, Melton did not look out of place at all. The Colts moved a lot guys around and while Melton did play some Offensive Tackle as well, he looked best to me at the Guard position. Athletic for this level, he moved around better than some of the skill position guys on other teams. On top of his ability to move, he played the game angry. Finished his blocks and let the opposition know they were in a dog fight when lined up across from No.56.
