Scott had 6 tackles with a sack and an interception in Corona del Mar’s dominant 27-7 win over Edison. It was the first time Corona del Mar had beaten Edison in several years and Scott contributed at receiver as well.

Scott had 40 tackles, two for a loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for Corona del Mar as a sophomore.

He’s a basketball guy too who is one of the best athletes on the field in most games he plays in. Scott plays outside backer but could become a safety in a different scheme. He’s very good in pass coverage and has good instincts in zone coverage. Scott closes to the ball quickly and is a low tackler for a guy his height. His speed makes him a tough matchup for a lot of offensive linemen as a pass rusher and he would rack up sacks if he was an edge rusher but he fits better as a traditional outside linebacker.

He’s an outside backer who may develop into a safety. Scott is good in zone coverage and closes to the ball quickly when defending the run. He’s a good athlete who is also a key member of Corona del Mar’s stellar basketball team.
