I’ve seen Patton several times this offseason and he has steadily improved each time. I was impressed by his arm strength on Saturday, particularly when throwing off-platform. There was a drill where quarterbacks evaded pocket pressure, rolled to their right and hit a target. Patton flashed one of the strongest arms in that drill and looked comfortable with his footwork.

Strong physical skillset with great tools to build on. Good length and frame at 6’3” 190 lbs. He’s a natural passer with smooth arm action throughout his release. Possesses a quick and compact delivery to get the ball out on time and under pressure. Shows the ability to change arm angles and throw off different platforms accurately. Can stretch the field vertically with touch, zip a one ball into a tight window across the middle, or flip it to the outside. Transferred to Murrieta Mesa from Orange Lutheran where he has already picked up two offers from Kentucky and Georgia State. Was a top performer at the PRZ SoCal Showcase and the PRZ 7on7 tournament. Expect him to jump the rankings rapidly once he gains varsity experience.

The youngest quarterback on this list also happens to be one of the biggest standouts. His massive frame translates into some incredible natural power behind his throws, and at such a young age, there’s still time for that to develop even further. He throws a gorgeous ball and can hit any spot on the field with ease. Like this throw below; even with the double clutch and letting go completely off his front foot, he still has the strength to get the ball over the top of the defense. His natural talent and physical abilities alone make him a must-watch prospect. Patton’s performance at the Sunshine Classic proved that he’s not just a young talent — he’s a serious quarterback prospect with a bright future ahead.

There were moments during the showcase where Patton looked like he had the strongest arm of the quarterbacks in attendance. His release is compact and quick and the ball comes out of his hand smoothly.
He pats the ball a bit and sometimes got the ball out a little late, but he was working with receivers he had no familiarity with so it’s understandable for timing to be off occasionally.
Patton looks like he may get a chance to start at Murrieta Mesa this season and he has the physical tools to be one of the higher upside quarterbacks in his class.

Love the size and ability that Patton brings to the field as a Quarterback, listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. There are no shortage of Quarterback prospects in So. Cal but Patton is one we’ve had our eye on for a while now. He has the size and strength to stand in the pocket while it’s collapsing, yet can still deliver a strike 35-50 yards down field. Then, he can turn around on the next play and taked a designed RPO to paydirt by keeping it himself. He looks like a signal caller destined for the Trinity League next season, which means he’ll be a prospect poised for offers within the next 12-18 months. He’s already started the process with a recent visit to Louisville with Winners Circle and the OG Ducks.
