Sinkala, another prospect who was forced to move from Clearwater International Academy, ended up at St. Thomas More and committed to the most local P4 school, Boston College. I really like the skillset Sinkala brings to the table he has great ball skills and is especially attacking the ball at the catch point and following through with a violent hand/punch. As an athlete there are no verified speed times but he has super loose hips and quick feet – a great combination at the corner position.

Commitment: Boston College
Njita Sinkala, the top Canadian defensive back prospect for the class of 2025, committed to Boston College in June after receiving 11 NCAA Division One offers from institutions including UConn and Temple University. Sinkala possesses elite physical attributes, with impressive length and a remarkable 4.5-second forty-yard dash speed. Known for his ball-hawking skills, he excels at creating pass breakups at the catch point, complemented by his proactive ball-hunting approach. His fluid backpedal and seamless transition to turn and run in man coverage are standout traits. In run defense, his eagerness to engage in tackles and sharp instincts set him apart. Sinkala is poised for a promising future as a potential starting defensive back at Boston College.

Njita Sinkala displayed very good athletic movement. He can naturally flip his hips and get in and out of breaks. He doesn’t take false steps. He has great instincts. His performance on the day stood out amongst coaches in attendance. He is a C/O 2025 Defensive back who attends St Thomas More in Connecticut. One of the most impressive 2024 DB prospects in attendance was from Winnipeg. Njita had one of the most outstanding overall combines. The 5’10” 161 lbs ’24 ran a great 4.57 40, 7.00 L-Drill, 9’3″ broad jump, 35.3″ vertical jump, and 4.37 pro agility. That speed allow Njita to be played as a single high safety where he can read the QB, and close on the catch point. He has the hands to turn those opportunities into turnovers too. This kid is built to roam the back half of defenses at the next level. The versatile athlete brings strong punt return skills to the table as well. He has the speed to turn green grass into big gains, teh elusiveness to get out of tight situations, and the vision to not only see openings but find ways to create openings.
