Spikes is far from just a track guy; he makes plays for Paint Branch all over the field. He’s dangerous in the return game on special teams, is a big play threat at receiver and a ball hawking rangy safety on defense. On the track he was All-MCPS in 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and the 4×100-meter relay. He ran his 100-meter in 10.75s and his 200-meter dash in 21.70s.

Spikes is a very good free safety. He doesn’t allow anything to get behind him. He is a ball hawk. He has great instincts and always seems to be in the right spot at the right time. He has very good speed which allows him to close the distance in very little time. He has good hands which allows him to make tough interceptions especially along the sidelines.

Spikes is a ball-hawking deep safety. He has tremendous range as he can cover a lot of ground. When teams try to challenge him deeply he is able to track the ball path and put himself exactly where he needs to be. He has enough speed to close down on receivers. He has good hands as he comes down with plenty of interceptions. Spikes is going to have another productive season.
