Fakahafua transfers in from Timpanogos, and he’ll be a tremendous addition. He is an excellent backer who has good instincts, finds his way to the ball, and is good in open space. He can be used as a pass rusher if needed, but his overall skill set allows him to be versatile and can fill any void a defense may have. He should feast on the competition of play in this region.

Fakahafua is a hybrid backer/edge rusher. He does well with overall athletic movement and has good hip bend as a rusher. He has a good closing speed and is a good run-stuffing defender.

Fakahafua plays the inside linebacker position in the Timberwolves defensive scheme. Has the ability to move through traffic and avoid blocks to get to the ball carrier. Use of hands to shock and shed blocks. A wrap up type tackler that can make the sure hit at the LOS and the open field. Fakahafua has the size and athleticism to play EDGE in a 3-4 or 4-3 defensive type scheme at the next level.

Fakahafua has an excellent frame and can easily get to 240 lbs. He is a physical player with excellent closing speed. Fakahafua shows good footwork and has good coverage skills. He has instincts in coverage that allow him to be versatile. Fakahafua does a good job of shedding his blocker, advancing to the backfield, and has a nose to find the ball carrier. He has excellent length and should get recruited regionally, if he does get north of 240 lbs, he makes an exciting EDGE rusher or a hybrid LEO role.
