Mr. May has been on my radar for some time now and continues to improve each season. The Boilermakers get the ball into this young man’s hands in a variety of ways. He can line up in the slot, on the outside, at halfback, and can even run jet sweeps. That’s not including him being utilized in the return game either. What stands out the most about this young man is his foot quicks that he uses to outrun 2nd-level defenders one the ball is in his hands. There’s a clip in his highlights where he secures the jet sweep and is able to turn the corner before breaking a long run for six. This was also seen in the air attack where once he secures the catch he can get vertical for six. This isn’t including the impact he brings to the defensive side of the ball working as a cornerback. Here, he can stay on the receiver’s hip pocket on deep shot downfield and go up for 50/50 balls forcing pass breakups. All in all, this young man has been having one heck of a season so far for the Boilermakers and I’m looking forward to seeing how he produces the rest of this fall season.
