Michael Palmieri
About Michael
Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A shifty receiver who can make defenders miss after the catch, Palmieri is one of the top wideouts in Forsyth County right now and is having a really strong final season for the Danes. He brings a promising blend of size and speed and has been one of the more productive pass-catcher sin the region so far this season. Palmieri has caught 20 passes through the first six games of the season for 620 yards and five touchdowns. He’s gone over the 100-yard mark in each of his last three games and has hit the 65-yard mark in all six games. He’s also scored a touchdown in every game but two and will be an easy addition to the next Prep Redzone rankings.

Palmieri is averaging over 30 yards a catch this year and consistently finds ways to beat DBs 1 on 1. He is forward-leaning as a runner, helping him cut through cushion and force DBs to recover early. He has good short-area quickness and does a good job of attacking leverage and creating hesitation in DBs, which gives him room to attack. He ties it together with natural hands. He plays with a good feel for the position and can be trusted to beat man coverage.
