Alford is one of the top quarterbacks in the 2A classification, but he’s also a two-way athlete. He played linebacker for North Rowan, too, a testament to his athleticism and ability on the football field. The lefty is a confident passer who layers throws to all fields. I’m really impressed by his quick trigger and his diversity of throws. On his tape, you’ll see him hitting throws off bootlegs, play-action, and straight dropbacks to all fields. That overall quarterbacking ability, coupled with his athleticism as a defender, makes him an intriguing college prospect.
