We’ve had an eye on the southpaw from Cranbrook for a little bit now.

I’m intrigued by Micah’s freshman year tape. There’s a little bit of everything here. Deep balls, quick reads, and even several cross-body throws outside the pocket. When given a clean pocket, Micah does a good job getting the ball quickly to his first read. I would like to see a little more power behind those quick throws, but generally, they are accurate.

What I’m most impressed with is Micah’s ability to evade pressure. At 4:00 of Micah’s highlight tape, he does an excellent job stepping up in the pocket when pressure closes in. Additionally, he’s a good enough athlete to outrun most pass rushers at the JV level.

Micah’s tape is intriguing. A little more raw than some, but still a lot to like about Micah’s current game. I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s capable of whenever he’s brought up to Varsity.
