Matthew is an offensive lineman who brings a lot to the table when you turn on his film. One thing I like about his game is how he approaches his blocks, working to get his hands inside and maintain control of defenders at the point of attack. He shows the ability to move his feet, stay engaged through contact, and create running lanes for his backs. In pass protection, his ability to establish a solid base and keep defenders from getting a clean path to the quarterback is something to appreciate. Matthew also shows a willingness to finish his blocks rather than letting up once the play gets going. There’s plenty to like about his game, and he’s an offensive lineman worth keeping tabs on as he continues to develop.

Matthew is a flexible offensive lineman who can play anywhere across the offensive front, giving his team valuable options in how they set the line. He shows a strong understanding of blocking concepts and adjusts well depending on where he is lined up, whether inside or on the edge. That ability to move across multiple spots speaks to his awareness and willingness to do whatever the offense needs.

He plays with an aggressive and physical mindset that shows up in both run blocking and pass protection situations. In the run game he works to establish contact quickly and finish blocks with authority, while in pass protection he competes with toughness and effort to stay engaged and keep defenders in front of him.
