Another Illinois standout among the QBs was the Grant Community signal caller. Matthew was able to perform so well that he left the day with an offer from the hosting Warhawks. It was easy to see why they extended the offer. The ’26 stood out from the crowd with his ability to drive the ball on a rope, especially 25 yards and in. He was also able to drive the ball to the deep third of the field without having to sacrifice much velocity. The QB’s mechanics were among the best too, lending to that ability to be accurate as well as maximize the velocity he could put on the ball. Throw after throw Matthew further solidified himself as the top passer of the day. Love to see that it earned him his first offer.
