The eight-player game can be tricky to evaluate. It’s partially like position-less basketball because positions tend to blend together. Linemen can be linebackers and tight ends meld with receivers. When we pop on Fay’s sophomore highlight video, there’s a dynamic two-way player on display. He’s solidly built, which allows for advanced physicality in relation to age. Fay also flashes a burst and explosion when the ball is in his hands or when pursuing the ball as a defender. I could see him developing into a safety/linebacker or a receiver/tight end in the 11-player game on the next level. His talent led to Fay piling up 40.0 tackles (26 solo, 8.5 TFL) and 6.0 sacks. On offense, he delivered 22 receptions for 242 yards and three touchdowns along with 156 yards and a score on 19 carries.
