About Matt

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play fast, physical, and relentless on the field, bringing intensity and a violent edge to the game while staying disciplined and focused.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am hardworking and always ready to step up to the challenge, embracing adversity and pushing myself to improve both athletically and academically.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am on the sportsmanship committee for my grade at Caravel Academy. Being the leader of my grade is very important, and I take this leadership role very seriously, as my fellow classmates and friends look up to me. While I am not heavily involved in extracurricular activities outside of sports, I take my academics seriously, staying active and engaged in the classroom with a strong work ethic.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my experiences, I have developed leadership, trust in my teammates, and the ability to step up when needed. I take pride in being prepared and accountable in high-pressure situations, always ready to perform at my best.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will push me athletically and academically—one that fosters growth, challenges me to be my best self, and provides a strong family-oriented environment. My goal is to develop into a strong, successful young man who can lead in the future.

Sticking with the superlatives, Matt Brunner was absolutely the best offensive lineman I saw during practice. He may have been a late addition to the 2024 8th Grade All-Delaware Bowl, but he was first lineman I noticed doing things right for this Black Team. His technique and skill set were head and shoulders above the rest of the lineman I watched during practice. Other than the thud of his pads, I didn’t hear him say another word the entire night–just did his job and looked strong doing so. He played tackle during the All-Delaware Bowl, but he looks like an ideal interior player for the future.
