One of the programs with the proudest traditions in the state is rising again in 2026 as Aplington-Parkersburg has raced out to a 7-0 start. Pruisner has been at the forefront of the resurgence. The junior was at it again during Friday’s 37-0 win against Hudson. He rushed 17 times for 180 yards and three touchdowns. He delivered three tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. It’s a broad base of skills with a knack for making plays when it comes to Pruisner.

We could be witnessing a rebirth of high-level football at Aplington-Parkersburg in 2026. The Falcons are 2-0 after Friday’s 32-7 victory at a solid Dike-New Hartford squad. Defense has led the way, yielding only seven points in each contest. Pruisner was at the front of Friday’s charge with with five solo tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, four sacks and a forced fumble. He also scored a pair of touchdowns as a running back. Pruisner is a good all-around athlete with size, speed and a projectable frame. His start to 2026 makes him a a versatile prospect whose development is worth watching.

Pruisner’s sophomore season has been a smashing success to date. The 10th-grader has rushed for 412 yards and four touchdowns on 60 carries through his team’s first four games. He also kicked off, returned a kick and punted with a little time on defense mixed in. It’s always nice to see that versatility and willingness to help the squad in any way possible as a young age. There’s not much Pruisner film out there yet, but he did post highlights from a game earlier this season. On it, we witness a shift running back able to make people miss in space and also when powering through them. Pruisner sees the lanes well and can change directions on a dime.
