An athletic North Georgia lineman who continued to fly under the radar over for way too long, McGill made his commitment this week to Charlotte, choosing the 49ers over Samford, Mercer, Tulsa, among others. The lean, athletic lineman can play guard or tackle at the next level due to his quick feet, length, and natural strength. He plays with good leverage and uses his size to maul defenders in the run game. This is a great pickup for the 49ers who add a commitment from one of the best linemen in the area.

McGill has added several D1 offers to his name this offseason and will draw some visitors this spring. He comes in at 6’4 275 and sticks out athletically. He is a real impressive athlete who can run, but also has the motor and edge to drive defenders through the turf. McGill has a complex multi-sport background, adding even more context to his athleticism. He is only going to improve and I would consider him one of the better athletes in the Lake Lanier area.

McGill is a three-sport athlete who is a thrower and plays basketball. Has tacked on several D1 offers this offseason. He is listed around 6’5 270. Skinny lower body, plenty of room to tack on weight. He can really run for his size. Impressive foot speed. Gets out of his stance and climbs to the second level seamlessly. Brings his feet at contact and drives defenders through the whistle. Clean and quick into his pass set. I am looking forward to seeing him in person and getting a better feel for his frame. He is an impressive athlete for his size. A lot of upside here.
