Murry II was electric throughout the tournament, making big plays on both sides of the ball. He caught multiple touchdowns, using his speed and route-running to consistently create separation. On defense, he added to his standout performance with a clutch pick-six that swung momentum in LBJ’s favor during bracket play. Marquis is the definition of a playmaker a dynamic, physical, and instinctive football player who can line up anywhere and make something happen.
Whether he’s in the slot, out wide, in the backfield, or even on special teams, he brings energy and impact on every snap. With a strong, compact frame, he runs with power and balance, shedding arm tackles and fighting for extra yards. He’s got burst in the open field and shows great vision and feel when the ball is in his hands, consistently turning routine plays into explosive gains. What stands out most is his football instinct he reacts quickly, processes space well, and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. His versatility allows coaches to move him around and create mismatches, and he thrives in those situations. He’s a true athlete tough, explosive, and built for big moments and he’s the kind of player who makes your offense more dangerous every time he steps on the field.

At 5-foot-11 and 185-pounds, I was well aware of Murry ahead of camp but didn’t know what position he’d ultimately play and how he’d fair. After camp, I still don’t know what position he’ll be (Linebacker? Edge? Running Back?) but he’s a guy.

Murry has great burst off the edge, he has excellent bend and elite body control that allows him to wreak havoc in the back field. He has a quick first step and his closing speed shows off his next level athleticism. Marquis is a twitchy athlete with oily hips and he has the versatility to rush the passer from the three-point stance or as a stand-up linebacker. Murry has a lean, compact build and he used his strong violent hands to win multiple reps during the pass rush drills versus the offensive line. He has the skill set that enables him to play a variety of positions, which includes quarterback, running back, wide receiver and linebacker. Murry is a flat-out playmaker, line him up and let him hunt.
