Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A promising small-town back from Conyers, Veasley is a tough, durable two-way player who shined on both sides of the ball last season. He’s a tough runner on offense who does have the ability to out-run defenders in the open field. He runs behind his pads, can break tackles at the second level, and made every carry county. The second-year back took off for 587 yards last season on just 65 carries for an eye-opening average of nine yards per carry while finding the end-zone five times. He’s one of the region’s top returning running backs who could put up even better numbers next season as a junior.

A metro-Atlanta running back on the rise who really shined during the regular season, Veasley is a playmaker with the ball in his hands who can make plays both as a runner and on special teams. The Conyers native was a dependable option in the running game all season long as he ran for an impressive 587 yards and five touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark twice. He’s one of the top junior running backs in the area and should be one of the leading returners next in the region to start next season as a senior. He’s a promising ball-carrier on the rise who will see a new Prep Redzone ranking come his way in the next rankings update.
