Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A small-town athlete who knows how to run and make a contested catch down the field, Johnson is a playmaking wideout and one of the fastest pass-catchers in the region returning for the 2026 season. He’s quick, agile, and plays bigger than size size. He’s a natural with the ball in his hands but showed last season he can be a major weapon vertically. One of the area’s leading receivers last year, Johnson caught 39 passes for 617 yards and six touchdowns in nine games. His best football is still wya ahead of him, and if he continues to work hard and develop more over the next few months, Johnson could be in store for a giant final season.

A small-town athlete who is lighting up the state sheet to start his junior season, Johnson may be on the smaller side, but he brings big-time speed and natural playmaking ability. He’s been tough to stop in every game this year as he’s caught 18 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns through his first three games. He went for 133 yards and two touchdowns in week one, 112 yards and one touchdown in week two before catching 10 passes for 111 yards and one more score. He’s a big-play machine and one of the fastest pass-catchers and overall athletes in his region. If he can put on more mass and muscle, maybe some college interest could come his way this winter.
