Laws is one of the better edge rushers in the 2029 class, regardless of classification. He’s quick off the line and thrives at getting after the quarterback. He more than held his own against older players from bigger schools at our Prep Redzone Exposure Camp in early May, and I like the way he moves in space. That could mean he eventually moves to linebacker to help his recruitment, but he looks like a guy who could have a great career at the high school level and beyond.

Playing defensive line on an 8-man team is not for the faint of heart, and Laws had an impressive season for Wake Christian. He’s not the biggest guy yet, but he has plenty of strength and long arms, and it looks like he’s in the process of putting on weight this offseason. He plays a lot as an interior guy, as Wake Christian plays plenty of two-lineman sets, and we think his skill set will have little issue translating to the next level.
