The Overall best in drills, at the QB position, Shaffar put his full athleticism on display and left talent evaluators impressed. Shaffar ran a 4.89 second 40-yard dash, 4.6 seconds in the shuttle, 7.06 in the L Drill and had a 9’5″ broad jump. He showed a ton of speed and cutting ability at 6’1″ that can translate at the next level. Watching film, Shaffar is decisive with the ball and has a quick release that makes it hard to apply pressure. If pressure comes, his mobility can easily get him out of the pocket where he does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield for opportunities. Shaffar and Westview will look to build momentum heading into his senior year. He started the offseason off with bang at this showcase and could make Northwest Omaha a travel destination for scouts.
