Glad I got to evaluate Luke in person. He had a handful of great throws. Luke features an overhand throwing motion. The arm angle can differ slightly based on where he’s throwing the ball, but in general, Luke’s throwing motion is a tad longer and less snappy than others.
Still, Luke is able to generate solid power behind his throws, and his accuracy is pretty consistent. I even thought his timing on comebacks was good, but just a tad late on average. Luke looks to me like a college prospect at QB, with my initial gut feeling saying D3.

Luke is another Quarterback who should earn some recruiting attention this offseason, and another QB who is very new to me.
His Junior Season tape makes me think Luke has a legitimate shot at being a great MIAA prospect. His tape begins with an accurate deep bomb thrown 40 yards. Next, another deep bomb thrown perfectly over the DB. The rest of his tape shows a whole lot of play action, a few good instances of pocket presence (0:32), and a ton of good, quick decisions. The biggest question is how Luke will eventually perform at offseason camps. Right now, I don’t love his throw velocity or throwing motion. He’ll need to touch up on his mechanics, but still, D3 upside.
