Lucas is a stacked LB and RB for Briar Woods, and his initial film on the season looks good. His discipline jumps out to me quickly in both positions, using his eyes to key his assignment and attacking it quickly with explosiveness and burst. As an LB, he attacks his gap with aggression when he engages blocks and creates separation with his hands to shed and make the tackle. On offense, he runs with good pad level, physical toughness, and contact balance. What I especially like in his Fort Hill highlights below is his willingness to be a blocker out of the backfield in pass protection. As an all-state selection last season, he is continuing his great play this season.
