Leonel brings a tone setting presence to the secondary with the way he flies around and delivers contact. He plays with urgency, triggers downhill fast, and meets ball carriers with force, making him a factor any time the ball gets to the second level. His closing speed stands out on film, allowing him to erase space quickly and limit yards after contact.
What separates him is the edge he plays with snap after snap. He’s not just looking to make the tackle he’s looking to dominate the rep, striking with purpose and disrupting rhythm. You can see his confidence in how he attacks plays, whether it’s stepping into the alley or driving through a receiver at the catch point. Leonel is a physical enforcer who brings energy, intensity, and a strong presence to the defense.
