Lavert comes in as the 4th ranked wide out in a class with a lot of excellent wide receivers. What has separated Lavert from some other wide outs is his suddenness on his route running. Lavert is able to drop his hips and pivot on out routes that gain him good separation. On film Lavert also shows speed and good body control and adjusts to the ball in mid air. There is a lot to like about Lavert and will be interested to see what happens this fall with this cougar wide out.

LaVert is an interesting case! He has been unranked across most sites, but P4 programs have started to take notice. The shifty WR/DB has an unofficial visit to Michigan State set up, who has recruited Dakota well in the past, including their recent offer to his teammate Elijah Goins Elijah Goins 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB/ATH Dakota | 2027 State MI . This dude has the freak athleticism and explosion to out-athlete nearly anyone lined up across from him. I love his change of direction, paired with secure hands. His development is well underway, and he could become a blue chip guy before the end of his high school tenure.
