McClendon was another one of the top linebackers on the day, and had a great showing in Sacramento and has seen his recruitment rise since then. He tested well, has the ideal frame and athleticism for the position and is a very balanced linebacker that can both play the urn and cover when needed. He is explosive near the ball, knifes into the backfield and shows quick play recognition and can pass rush off the edge with active hands and natural bend. Since camp, he has picked up an offer from Sacramento State and was rated as a 3-star prospect per 247-Sports.
