Flynn has improved in two key areas as a senior, making him an obvious choice as a stock-riser. Always a gunslinger, Flynn has struggled at times with accuracy and decision-making. After averaging over 10 interceptions in each of his first three years as a starter, Flynn has raised his completion percentage by 13%. He’s just four touchdown passes from a career-high, and he’s flashed as a runner this year.

A multi-year starter, Flynn is one of the more consistent quarterbacks in the state. Flynn has thrown 46 touchdowns and made all-conference each of the last two seasons. Flynn is decisive, quickly going through his progressions and delivering with accuracy and zip on the ball. He keeps improving every year, so I’m excited to see his potential as a senior.

Last season, Flynn threw for over 2000 yards and 21 touchdowns at a school traditionally known for its running game, so that was something that intrigued us to look further into. Per his Twitter profile, Flynn classifies himself as a pro-style quarterback. His film definitely seems to back up that assessment. One thing that really stands out for me is that if he has time to work off of a play-action fake, it seems to help him get into a good rhythm mechanically and consistently deliver the football on time. Sometimes in straight dropback situations, he can get a little off in the footwork, but he shows a strong arm and good accuracy regardless of that. I think in his development Flynn is in a good spot, as long as he increases his consistency he should have another strong season.

Flynn is a guy who just recently popped up on Prep Redzone’s radar. He displays excellent poise in the pocket and almost always keeps his eyes downfield. As a sophomore, he threw for over 2000 yards, making him one of the most productive sophomores in the state. He has decent arm strength and accuracy, especially given his ability to move within the pocket. The decision-making will need to improve as sometimes he has a tendency to force the ball downfield rather than taking the checkdown. As that skill improves, he’s a top junior to watch.
