About Lamech
Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
I wrote in my notes that Lamech Rucker was the most traitsy MS passer we had at the event. He will measure in around 6’2 170 and would’ve stuck out physically in the HS group as well, which is no slight on anyone else. Rucker has a rare blend of size, arm talent, and physical upside for his age. He generates plenty of power on the ball with his arm alone, coiling around his ear and throwing a ball that arrives loud in the short areas. When his deep ball was on, he proved capable of getting it to turn over and fall in over the top of DBs. Rucker was one of the several prospects at the event who has the early look of a guy who could develop into a P4 prospect down the road.

Next on the list is Florida’s Lamech Rucker Jr. Rucker is a prodigy down in the sunshine state, already playing varsity football as an 8th grader. Standing at 6’1 Rucker is well ahead of other kids his age stature wise. Rucker also displays a crazy amount of arm talent, and throws a beautiful tight spiral that is textbook to what to look for in a QB. Also key to look at is Rucker’s smooth arm motion when he throws, allowing him to effortlessly fire passes deep down field. Rucker is a budding star, and already competing at the Varsity level means he will have a leg up on his peers.
