Ewell Berry was one of the top defensive backs in attendance and consistently made plays throughout the day.

The 6-foot, 180-pound defender showcased fluid hips, clean footwork, and excellent ball skills in coverage drills and competitive periods. Berry demonstrated strong eye discipline and reacted quickly when the ball was in the air.

He recorded multiple pass breakups and interceptions during both 7-on-7 and 1-on-1 competition while excelling in both press and off-man coverage situations. Berry consistently played through receivers’ hands and competed aggressively through the whistle.

With his length, instincts, and coverage ability, Berry is a name college coaches will continue to hear coming out of the San Antonio area this fall.

Kristian plays with awareness and confidence in the secondary, consistently showing good recognition of route concepts and quarterback intentions. What stands out on film is his ability to stay disciplined in coverage while reacting quickly once the ball is thrown. His footwork allows him to mirror receivers effectively, staying in position through breaks and transitions.

He competes at the catch point and isn’t afraid to challenge throws, bringing physicality when the opportunity presents itself. In space, he shows solid tackling technique and a willingness to come downhill and support the run. His instincts help him anticipate plays rather than just react to them, which leads to timely breakups and strong coverage reps.
