About Kody
Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Galloway has some of the more violent and impressive tape of anyone have seen in southern California. He is a explosive and quick twitched pass rusher that can bend and get around blockers while collapsing the pocket quickly and plays with violent hands, good leverage and extension and is always flying around to the ball. He is a bit of a tweener from a length and frame standpoint but makes up for it with his athletic abilities and twitch/strength and power at the POA and is going to be a very nice late steal for a college team. He is a very balanced player with a diverse skillset and freaky athletic abilities for his size and could fit in nicely as a true designated pass rusher in college from a OLB spot at the second level.

• What you do well
Galloway pops on film as a twitchy, high-motor edge defender who explodes off the ball with a quick first step and violent, active hands. You win with speed-to-power rush moves, long-arm extension, and the bend/flexibility to turn the corner and flatten to the QB. Stout at the point of attack in the run game—you set a firm edge, shed blockers cleanly, and pursue sideline-to-sideline with relentless effort. Productive tackler who’s around the football (33 tackles, 3.5 sacks through recent action) and creates negative plays. Versatile two-way athlete who also lines up at TE and OLB, showing good football IQ, play recognition, and the ability to contribute in multiple roles. Pad level stays low and you play with a nasty, competitive attitude every snap.
• Changes that would take you to the next level:
Pass-rush toolbox is still growing beyond the initial burst and power—you’ll need to add more counters, rip/swim combos, and finesse when veteran offensive tackles stall your first move. Frame is athletic and well-put-together at 220 lbs, but you’ll benefit from adding 15–20 lbs of functional mass/strength in a college program to better anchor vs. double teams and dominate Power-level size. Coverage reps as an OLB/edge are functional but not yet a featured strength on tape.
• If / how you project to help a team win
Galloway projects as a disruptive, scheme-versatile edge/OLB who can pressure the quarterback, set the edge in the run game, and make plays all over the field. His combination of explosiveness, physicality, motor, and two-way versatility creates negative plays, collapses pockets, and wears down offensive lines over four quarters—the exact kind of high-effort front-seven player that tilts games, forces turnovers, and elevates the entire defense. With continued physical development and refinement of his rush arsenal, he has clear starter upside and the makeup to be a tone-setter who helps teams win in the trenches.
Bottom line: Athletic, productive 2027 edge/athlete with FBS interest (Fresno State offer) and the film to keep climbing boards. High-motor two-way player whose best football is still way ahead of him. Senior season at Banning should be a big one—definitely a name to watch in the 2027 cycle.

Galloway is one of the top defenders in his class across the state of California, and is a powerful edge prospect that has a balanced play-style at the defensive end position. He is a true athlete and explosive off the ball with a strong first step twitch, shows he can win with a violent strike and long arm at the point of attack and is very stout against the run while able to set the edge and take on bigger blockers with ease. He plays with a tremendous motor and good pad level while showing backside pursuit, quick play recognition and fly’s around, seemingly always around the ball. Galloway has the frame and build to continue adding the right weight over the next two years, and as he grows should develop into a true 4-3 edge or possibly a outside linebacker in the right system at the next level.

Galloway was one of the top players on his team in 2023, which made an appearance in a CIF State Title game in December. He checks just inside the top 60 overall in our initial rankings, and inside the top ten at his position in this 2027 class. On tape, he shows he can get off the ball with long strides and covers a ton of ground into the backfield, while a rangy edge player with elite pass rush abilities due to relentless pursuit and a quick use of hands/bend off the edge. He is a very well built prospect with a strong lower body already, and wins with leverage and initial punch at the POA in the run game while able to easily beat bigger offensive tackles off the ball. Also able to play tight end, he is a two-way star for one of the better teams in the Southern Section, and is a no brainer FBS caliber prospect by the time his prep career comes to a close.
