Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Measuring in at 6’5 215-pounds, Reid has prototypical size for a tight end. He has good athletic ability due to very good jumping, good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. Reid uses his lengthy body to extend and make catches over the defensive back. He has a good release at the line of scrimmage. Good separation quickness due to his athletic ability and play strength. He keeps fighting against linebackers to get open. Reid has good ball tracking and good catching. Good body adjustment to balls thrown behind him. After the catch, he isn’t afraid to put his shoulder down trucking through them. I’m excited to see how Reid develops next season.

Read EvaluationRobert Davis | Prep Redzone Scout
Reid is a TE that is a great perimeter blocker, being able to get out and set the edge to create running lanes for his backs. He does have the ability to slip out on routes and be a threat to catch the ball. He finished the season with 18 receptions for 309 yards with 5 touchdowns, having a long of 49 yards being able to show off his speed in the open. He is also made some noise on the defensive side of the ball this year with 69 total tackles to pair with 3 sacks and 7 tackles for loss. He will be making his debut and will be a player to know moving forward.
