Listed as an athlete going into the 2026 season, Harris has put forth a junior campaign that warrants him being placed at running back due to what he’s shown on the field so far this Fall. Athleticism, burst and speed are the first three traits that pop off the page about the Hilltoppers ball carrier. Once the ball touches his hands, Harris picks a running lane and darts through the opening hard and fast while displaying nice contact balance. This East Tennessee product appears stronger than his lean frame may present. It shows on film his ability to break through tackles and continue gaining speed into the open field. Harris does show the speed to separate. He has a nice initial burst with a second gear. More time is needed in the weight room to gain more strength and fill out his frame much further. Harris is a natural runner that brings a certain big play ability to the field that translates well to the next level. Further development is needed of course but Harris has definitely taken the proper steps to be considered a legit college prospect.
Last Friday in the Hilltoppers win over Morristown-West, Harris had his coming out party where he ran for over 360 yards, scoring four times while averaging 14.7 yards per carry. This East Tennessee junior was basically unstoppable and a key force in helping guide his Hilltoppers team towards a 2-0 record. Harris plays both ways for his team and may even develop in the secondary for college but this kind of performance lends more time in the film room looking at Harris for running back. Athleticism and speed is what stands out about Harris and what could get college coaches interested in his upside. More games like last week may even put Harris into the Mr. Football conversation by the end of the regular season.
