Rumfelt put his team on his back Friday and put together one of his most complete games of the year. He made some good throws and would extend drives with his legs. He’s a dangerous runner, and Wawasee underestimated his speed. He didn’t panic when things broke down and knew when to take off. He threw for 189 yards and 2 TDs through the air and then added 117 yards and 3 TDs on the ground in the 35-26 win.

Rumfelt got the nod at QB this past season and had his moments where he showed all that potential. He’s a solid athlete but doesn’t over-rely on it. He tends to want to stay in the pocket, go through his reads, and get the ball to the open man. He had a game early in the year where he struggled, but used that game to bounce back. His best game of the year, he went 20 of 26 for 302 yards and 4 TDs. He was lights out and later in the season was a much better QB than he was in week 1. The growth was tremendous.
