Taylor is one of the most naturally talented players in the entire class. He’s got that special “it” factor with the ball in his hands. He missed his sophomore year with an injury, but his recovery has gone well, and he should be back in action this fall. His burst and cutting abilities are rare, and he’s a good receiver out of the backfield. He has all the traits to develop into a perennial all-purpose back that offenses build around. I’m looking forward to seeing him back on the field this fall, because Indiana football is more entertaining wth him on the field.

Taylor strikes me as someone who has “it.” I got to see him work at the Combine earlier this month, and what I saw on tape is what I saw in person. A dynamic athlete who is explosive well built with good hands, and can play all over the field. Taylor put up just under 600 rushing yards in year 1, but it’s clear his potential is sky-high, and if he continues to develop, he’ll be one of, if not the top, back in the class.

Taylor is one of those guys who just has “it.” He’s a great athlete with natural hands, can line up in different spots, and make plays wherever he’s asked. There’s a smoothness to his game that’s hard to teach, and he plays with confidence. The versatility stands out, but it’s the feel for the game that makes you think he could be something special down the road.

Taylor rotated in and out for Blackford and quickly turned into a guy they needed to get on the field more and more. By the season’s end, he was their lead back and had 32 carries against Alexandria-Monroe. He’s a shifty back who can bounce it to the outside and hit the big play. He’s got enough muscle to run in between the tackles as well, especially as he puts weight on. While his 586 rushing yards and 4 TDs aren’t the biggest numbers, how he got there was impressive and certainly is a guy to watch next fall to see how big of a jump he takes.

Taylor just put together an impressive year and should build on it over the coming years. He’s a good-sized back who can handle a full workload and run in between the tackles. He’s got good vision and can find cutback lanes. He wasn’t their leading back this year, but he still managed to put up 586 yards and 4 TDs on the ground to start his career.
